A Game-Changing Approach to Physical Therapy

STASISM started from a simple belief: physical therapy shouldn't feel like a chore. It should feel like play.

Our journey began with a powerful question: What if children and adults with cerebral palsy could achieve real therapeutic progress while having fun? From that spark of curiosity, STASISM was born—a revolutionary platform where therapy, gaming, and community come together.

Built with Purpose, Backed by Science

Developed by a multidisciplinary team of game developers, doctors, and therapists across Europe, STASISM is the world’s first online physical gaming platform designed exclusively for people with cerebral palsy. It is the result of over 6 years of scientific research and development, supported by the European Union through the Horizon 2020 and Fast Track to Innovation programs.

Our platform was piloted and refined in rehabilitation centers across Ireland, Spain, Ukraine and beyond, with measurable improvements after just two weeks of use. Research published in medical journals showed enhanced trunk control and dynamic balance for children with CP.

Exercise That Feels Like Play

Through movement-controlled games—no joystick, no buttons—users play with their whole body. Each session becomes an adventure, whether it's exploring fantastical worlds, unlocking achievements, or challenging friends online. Behind the scenes, analytics keep track of your activity and progress.

STASISM tracks your movement with a camera, on a PC, tablet or phone. In the STASISM research product, the same tracking and the STASISM Balance Board give clinicians accurate posturography data, often replacing expensive medical-grade force plates.

More Than a Platform—A Movement

STASISM is not just a tool. It’s a movement toward inclusive, social, and empowering exercise.

  • Children laugh and play while staying active.
  • Adults build confidence and stay active in their own living rooms.
  • Families can look back on activity history and achievements together.
  • Families enjoy quality time together while supporting loved ones through play.

From Clinics to Classifications

STASISM is now recognized by global organizations and featured at major events including RehabWeek (NL), AACPDM (US), and CP Day (Spain). It is actively used in CP football athlete classification for the European Championship.

We’ve been featured on Greek TV, Spanish radio, Norwegian media, and more. With team members from Norway, Ukraine, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, and England, STASISM is as multicultural as the community it serves.

A New Era of Active Play

Our mission is simple: make exercise joyful and accessible for everyone with CP—regardless of age, ability, or background. Whether you're a parent, a coach, or someone who simply wants to move more, STASISM welcomes you.

“We hope you’ll love it as much as we loved making it.”
